KANNAD ULTIMA-AF fixed ELT combines the latest generation of lithium battery technology and a smart design which enables the unit to comply with the latest FAA/EASA lithium battery requirements.

KANNAD ULTIMA-AF is a new generation of fixed crash survivable ELT (AF) compliant with the lithium battery requirements set by FAA and EASA. Designed to be installed in the aircraft fuselage, it offers both vertical and horizontal installation configuration.

SGB Compliant (Second Generation Beacons) - This system will allow for pinpointing the location of the beacon with a high degree of accuracy in near real-time, a feature not available in the current system.

Manual & Automatic Activation - KANNAD ULTIMA-AF can be activated manually with a cockpit remote control panel or the KANNAD ULTIMA-AF front control panel and automatically through its 6-axis crash acceleration sensor.

Internal Antenna - Operating independently from the aircraft, the back-up antenna significantly improves the chances of transmitting your position via the 406MHz frequency to the Cospas-Sarsat search and rescue satellites even if the antenna is destroyed and/or the cable connecting the ELT and the antenna is broken.

Integrated Navigation Interface - The KANNAD ULTIMA-AF can be connected to the aircraft ARINC429 or RS232 thanks to its integrated navigation interface which enhances the accuracy of the distress signal reported. 

Easy Installation - KANNAD ULTIMA-AF is designed to be installed either with or without a mounting bracket. Its mounting bracket is compatible with Kannad legacy ELTs mounted holes. Several versions available for fixed-wing and helicopter applications.
